Finalists Announced to Throw out First Pitch at Rally Saint Louis Day at Busch Stadium

Last week we told you that on Sunday afternoon May 19, when our St. Louis Cardinals face off against the Milwaukee Brewers, we’ll also be celebrating Rally Saint Louis Day at Busch Stadium and giving away free Rally STL tees — generously donated by CafePress — in Ford Plaza located behind the bleacher seats in the outfield courtesy of our friends at CafePress.

The Cardinals have offered Rally Saint Louis the opportunity to  throw out the first pitch of the game, and many of you submitted nominees.

Here are the finalists with a link to vote below:

  • Thomas H.: A diehard Cardinals fan, Thomas was born with a mild case of cerebral palsy which has limited his participation in organized sports. He no longer plays baseball team but does the announcing for many team games for his school from the press box.
  • Arthur H.: A resident of Northview Village Nursing Home and in the final stages of cancer, Arthur has never missed a Cardinals game on TV or radio and puts his Cardinals gear each game.

  1. Please nominate Emily to throw out the first pitch. She is a great niece and has survived alot in the 15 years of her life that most teenagers wouldn’t dream would happen to them. She is most deserving of this special honor.

  2. Thank you so much for considering Emily for this honor. She has had a very rough short 15 years of life and I know she would appreciate this, since she loves the Cardinals. She has been a caring, giving warrior through all of it and is deserving of this honor.

  3. Please let Emily Linneman pitch the first ball. She is an amazing beautiful girl that has fought cancer like a champ. She lost her father to cancer a year and a half before it came to claim her leg. She has never stopped smiling and she is an amazing daughter, sister, and friend. I for one along with my family will be there to support her in her first pitch!

  4. When you say the name Emily Linneman you have to smile! She has persevered through all heart renching tragedies – from one to another with strengeth, courage, and shear determination! She is a wonderful example we admire her spirit, and beautiful soul. Please allow Cardinal Nation the chance to see and support this amazing young women!
